Welcome

Sorgh Vliet Lodge is situated in the valley of Hout Bay, only 30 minutes drive from the centre of Cape Town.

You will find us a quiet and peaceful venue and from all aspects of the garden we have wonderful views of the mountains.

 We are a cosy guesthouse with 3 units, of which 2 cottages are self-catering. However all our guests are welcome to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the veranda.

Our river embankment is a quiet place to dream, to watch the sunrise and enjoy the dawn chorus.

A few minutes walk down the lane and you are at the World of Birds, a treat for all the family. It’s a 5 minute drive by car to the beach where you can find a great variety of restaurants, interesting shops, and where the Chapmans Peak scenic drive begins.

From Hout Bay to Cape Town follow the coastal road past the 12 Apostles mountain range to Camps Bay and Table Mountain or go over Constantia berg to the start of the wine routes. C T Airport is a mere 30 minutes drive from our door.

After a long day exploring, relax in the garden as our vast mountain basks in the glow of a glorious African sunset. Braai by the pool or enjoy a meal in one of Hout Bay's great restaurants ….
